Ales to Trails is a Northern Michigan apparel company creating hand-designed and hand screen-printed t-shirts, hoodies, hats, stickers, mugs, and outdoor lifestyle gear inspired by the places, people, and adventures we love most.

Founded in Boyne City, Michigan, Ales to Trails was built around a simple idea: life is better spent exploring trails, floating lakes, sitting around campfires, chasing sunsets, and sharing a cold beer with good people.

Our designs celebrate hiking, camping, fishing, boating, road trips, craft beer, national parks, Great Lakes adventures, dogs, and the sarcastic humor that makes outdoor life even better.

Designed and Printed In-House

Unlike many apparel brands, every Ales to Trails design is created in-house and hand screen printed in our Northern Michigan studio.

From the first sketch to the final print, we control the entire process to ensure every shirt, hoodie, and hat meets our standards for quality, comfort, and durability.

We aren't a large corporation or a mass-production facility.

We're a small business powered by creativity, coffee, long workdays, and a love for the outdoors.

Meet the Team

Ales to Trails is run by one girl, her doodle, and a dream.

Our founder designs, prints, packs, ships, photographs products, creates content, manages wholesale accounts, and somehow keeps the coffee flowing.

Then there's Maggie May.

Meet Maggie May, Chief Executive Doodle

Maggie May is our white Goldendoodle and the unofficial CEO of Ales to Trails.

She supervises order packing, tests dog treats, greets customers, models dog apparel, and frequently appears in our social media content. While she contributes very little to production, she excels at morale and demanding snacks.

Customers often stop by just to see Maggie.
